This TESTECH thermal radiation melting drip tester meets the technical indicators and requirements specified in NF P92-505, EU 95/28/EC, and ECE R118 Annex 7.

According to NF P92-505, this test is an additional test for M-class building materials. It is suitable for evaluating melting drip behavior and combustion performance of thermoplastic materials under the influence of a principal heat source, including flexible and thin materials and cellulose insulation padding.

• All tooling made of stainless steel for good appearance and corrosion resistance.
• Radiation support can rotate through an angle greater than 90 degrees for convenient specimen installation.
• Specimen installation height is adjustable.
• Radiator heat flux 30 kW/m2, maximum up to 50 kW/m2.
• Electric radiator output power: 500 W.
• Radiant heat output is linearly adjustable, with automatic adjustment through power control.
• Radiation hood is a quartz glass hood with opening diameter 100 mm ±5 mm.
• Thermal radiation at 30 mm below the lower plane of the radiation hood is 3 W/cm3.
• Specimen support ring made of stainless steel with inner diameter 118 mm.
• Collection tray inner diameter 118 mm, depth 12 mm, filled with cotton inside.
• Radiation cone can move up and down.
