Product Overview

 

Correct evaluation of the service temperature of insulation materials is an important basis for ensuring normal use of insulation materials at their operating temperature.

 

The maximum use temperature is related to factors such as material composition, service environment, and temperature gradient.

 

The TESTech Thermal Insulation Materials Maximum Use Temperature Tester is developed and manufactured according to GB/T 17430-1998 and is suitable for evaluating the maximum use temperature of loose-fill insulation materials, felts, blankets, blocks, boards, and prefabricated insulation pipe sections.

 

Equipment Features

 

  • Processed by CNC machine tools with an attractive arc-shaped appearance.
  • Offers rust resistance and corrosion resistance.
  • Other parts are made of 45# steel with thickened electroplating or SUS304 stainless steel.

 

Main Technical Parameters

 

  • Heating plate made of silicon carbide board, test area 914 mm x 457 mm, surrounded by an 80 mm protective layer. Five thermocouples measure surface temperature: four on the diagonal of the heating area 150 mm from each corner, and one at the center. Temperature measured at any point shall not be lower than the required temperature, and the difference shall be within +5% or +15 C, whichever is less.
  • Heating pipes made of SUS304 stainless steel, length 2 m, nominal diameters 88 mm, 108 mm, and 133 mm. Three heating pipes are arranged side by side for individual testing of prefabricated insulation pipe sections. The ends shall have protective sections of not less than 75 mm and auxiliary heaters to prevent excessive heat loss. One thermocouple is installed every 0.3 m to measure the surface temperature, arranged spirally around the heating pipe at 90 degree intervals. Temperature measured at any point shall not be lower than the required temperature, and the difference shall be within +5% or +15 C, whichever is less.
  • Temperature measurement system uses K-type thermocouples. Arrangement is at the center and at positions 150 mm from each corner on the diagonal of the heating plate. Thermocouple measuring range is 0 to 1100 C with accuracy +/- 0.5%.
