Product Overview
Correct evaluation of the service temperature of thermal insulation materials is an important basis for ensuring their normal use at operating temperature.
The maximum use temperature is related to factors such as material composition, use environment, and temperature gradient.
The TESTech Thermal Insulation Materials Maximum Use Temperature Tester is developed and manufactured according to GB/T17430-1998 and is suitable for evaluating the maximum use temperature of loose-fill insulation materials, felts, blankets, blocks, boards, and prefabricated insulation products.
Equipment Features

Main Technical Parameters
- Heating plate made of silicon carbide board with test area 914 mm x 457 mm and surrounding protective layer width 80 mm. Five thermocouples measure the surface temperature: four are fixed on the diagonal of the heating area at a distance of 150 mm from each corner, and the fifth is placed at the center. Temperature measured at any point shall not be lower than the required temperature, and the difference shall be within +5% or +15 C, whichever is less.
- Heating pipe made of SUS304 stainless steel, length 2 m, with nominal diameters of 88 mm, 108 mm, and 133 mm. Three heating tubes are arranged side by side. Each heating pipe has a protection section not less than 75 mm long and an auxiliary heater at the end. One thermocouple is installed every 0.3 m to measure surface temperature, arranged spirally around the pipe at 90 degree intervals. Temperature measured at any point shall not be lower than the required temperature, and the difference shall be within +5% or +15 C, whichever is less.
- Temperature measurement system uses K-type thermocouple wire. Thermocouples are arranged at the center and at positions 150 mm from each corner along the diagonal of the heating plate. Measuring range is 0 to 1100 C and thermocouple accuracy is +/- 0.5%.
