This instrument is completely developed, designed, and manufactured in accordance with GA/T42.1-92.

It is suitable for determining the combustion mass loss rate and glowing combustion time of flame-retardant impregnated wood of various types with thickness above 20 mm under specified burning conditions.

The crib method tester features automatic ignition, automatic timing, and automatic reset functions.

• The burner applies flame to the specimen for 3 min.
• Temperature at the top opening of the flame protection hood is 310 +/- 10 C.
• Flowmeter indicates gas flow.
• Gas flowmeter range is 0.025-0.25 m3/h.
• Digital timer: 0-24 min, increment 1 s.
• The burner ignition time for the specimen is 3 min.
• Flame height is approximately 250 mm and flame temperature is 310 +/- 10 C.
• The burner is composed of a 50 mm diameter nozzle, regulating valve, and shut-off valve.
• Thermocouple is a nickel-chromium/nickel-silicon sheathed thermocouple with outer diameter 3 mm and Class II accuracy.
