Product Introduction
The Fourier transform infrared spectrometer is an ideal tool for toxicity testing in fire testing applications. It can be used together with a cone calorimeter or a smoke density chamber to perform online detection of toxic gas components released during combustion.
Typical smoke toxicity components measured in CEM applications include H2O, CO2, CO, N2O, NO, NO2, SO2, HCl, HF, NH3, CH4, C2H6, C3H8, and C2H4. The Gasmet FTIR spectrometer can be easily expanded with new test components and ranges. The measured components and calibration ranges can be changed according to actual application needs, and the technical configuration data are contained in one sampling system.
The FTIR spectrometer is used for online measurement and is ideal for determining trace gas concentrations in combustion tests. All parts of the FTIR analytical system are heated to 180 C. It can analyze both diluted gas and sample gas without pre-drying.
The Gasmet FTIR analytical system consists of the FTIR CX4000 gas analyzer meeting relevant ISO 19702 requirements, the Gasmet industrial PC system, and the Gasmet oxygen sampling system. All relevant components are integrated into a standard 19-inch cabinet.
The system includes power connectors and heated components for the sample line and sampling probe. It runs automatically and is controlled by Calcmet software. Measurement data can be transmitted from the industrial PC to the control room through digital output (ModBus) or 4-20 mA analog output.
The system provides different alarm functions, including function alarms, service alarms, and system alarms. When any alarm signal is activated, instrument air is automatically introduced to prevent condensation.
