Product Overview
This incandescent rod combustion tester is designed, developed, and manufactured according to the technical requirements specified in GB/T 2407-2008.
The equipment horizontally clamps one end of the specimen so that the free end contacts an incandescent rod heated to 955 C ±15 C for a specified period, and then evaluates the combustion characteristics of the specimen.
It is of great value for comparing the combustion characteristics of different materials, verifying processing technology, and measuring deterioration or changes in combustion performance before or during material use.
Technical Features
- Extra-large chamber volume of 1 m3 with painted finish and attractive appearance.
- Stainless steel frame support with corrosion resistance.
- Incandescent rod diameter 8 mm and length 100 mm, heated to 955 C ±15 C, made of high-density silicon carbide.
- Insulated support used to secure the incandescent rod safely and ensure timely separation from the specimen.
- Balancer ensures a contact force of 0.3 N between the incandescent rod and the specimen contact point.
- Supplied with an 8 mm x 150 mm positioning rod for adjusting specimen position.
- Test temperature of 950 C ±10 C with over-temperature protection.
- Specimen dimensions: length 125 ±5 mm, width 10 ±0.2 mm, thickness 4 ±0.2 mm. Samples from 2 mm to 10 mm thickness may also be tested, but results are comparable only with samples of the same thickness.
- Contact time between the silicon carbide rod and specimen: 3 minutes.
- Time can be set freely with timing accuracy of ±0.1 s.
- Test chamber is equipped with an exhaust fan that can be switched on after testing to remove toxic smoke.
