Product Introduction

 

The thermal protective performance tester is suitable for the evaluation of protective clothing used in textile apparel, petrochemical industries, labor safety protection, and quality supervision and inspection institutions. It provides a scientific and reliable basis for the development of flame-retardant protective clothing, process quality control, and performance verification during service.

 

It is used to determine the thermal protective performance of protective clothing, safety shoes, gloves, helmets, and similar exposed surfaces. The material is tested under a specified radiant heat source to evaluate its thermal protection capability.

 

Structural Features

 

  • Stainless steel frame structure with attractive appearance, corrosion resistance, and easy cleaning.
  • Heat source consists of one radiant heat source group and two 10-30 degree convective heat sources.
  • Radiant heat source is composed of 9 T-150 infrared quartz lamps.
  • Convective heat source is composed of two imported Meker burners.
  • Movable stainless steel protection plate ensures safety and reliability during testing.
  • Basic components include sample holder assembly, flame and radiant heat source, water tank thermostat system for the heat flux meter, data acquisition system, fuel control regulator, and rotary gas flow meter.
  • Two imported Meker burners installed at 10-30 degree positions.
  • Inner tube diameter is 38 mm and inner orifice diameter is 5/16 inch, providing 800-1200 BTU heat output with adjustable air and fuel gas mixing ratio.
  • The 9 T150 quartz infrared tubes provide radiant heat flux of 13 kW/m2 +/-4 kW/m2.
  • Under quartz infrared radiation, the total heat flux can be adjusted to 84 kW/m2 +/-2 kW/m2 by regulating gas to the Meker burners.
  • Constant-temperature water tank system prevents condensation in winter and protects heat flux measurement accuracy.
  • Distributed copper calorimeter cooling fan keeps the calorimeter away from heat and cools rapidly to prevent burns.
  • Pneumatic retractable shield moves the specimen away from the heat source after testing to prevent burns.

 

Control System

 

  • Imported American water-cooled calibration heat flux meter with working range 0-120 kW/m2 and maximum use range of 150 percent.
  • Heat flux meter response time less than 200 ms, emissivity greater than 0.95, and output signal greater than 5 mV within the working range.
  • Heat radiation flux display instrument provides immediate heat flux readings.
  • Used to detect TPP of protective materials and display time-temperature curves.
  • Two Kofloc flow meters for combustion gas adjustment, accuracy +/-2 percent, range 0-3 L/min.
  • Pointer pressure gauge with pressure reducing valve, range 0-0.4 MPa.
  • Temperature acquisition system resolution 0.1 C and accuracy +/-0.75 C.
  • Automatic data acquisition system with minimum sampling rate of 10 Hz and cold-junction compensation for thermocouple measurement data.
  • Equipped with computer and printer, standard test software, standard test curves, TPP test software system, and TPE thermal protective performance evaluation software system.
  • The customer needs to provide the air supply device.
