Product Introduction

 

The thermal protective performance tester is suitable for the evaluation of protective clothing used in textile apparel, petrochemical industries, labor safety protection, and quality inspection institutions. It provides a scientific and reliable basis for product development, quality control during production, and verification of thermal protective performance in service.

 

It is used to test the thermal protective performance of protective clothing, safety shoes, gloves, helmets, and similar exposed surfaces. Under a defined radiant heat source, the instrument evaluates the ability of the material to resist heat transfer.

 

Structural Features

 

  • Stainless steel frame structure, attractive appearance, corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean.
  • Heat source configuration includes one radiant heat source group and two 10-30 degree convective heat sources.
  • The radiant heat source consists of nine T-150 infrared quartz lamps; the convective heat source consists of two imported Meker burners.
  • Movable stainless steel protection plate for safe and reliable testing.
  • Basic components include sample holder assembly, flame and radiant heat source, heat flux meter water tank temperature control system, data acquisition system, fuel control regulator, and rotary gas flow meter.
  • Two American imported Meker burners installed at 10-30 degree positions.
  • Burner inner tube diameter 38 mm, inner orifice diameter 5/16 inch, capable of 800-1200 BTU heat output, with metal mesh burner head and adjustable lower air valve.
  • Nine T150 quartz infrared tubes provide radiant heat flux of 13 kW/m2 +/-4 kW/m2.
  • By adjusting fuel supply to the Meker burners under quartz infrared radiation, the total heat flux can be set to 84 kW/m2 +/-2 kW/m2.
  • Constant-temperature water tank system prevents condensation on the heat flux sensor in winter and maintains measurement accuracy.
  • Distributed copper calorimeter cooling fan keeps the sensor away from heat and cools quickly to avoid burns.
  • Pneumatic retractable shield and movable specimen arrangement keep the specimen and heat flux sensor away from the heat source after testing.

 

Control System

 

  • Imported water-cooled calibration heat flux meter with operating range 0-120 kW/m2 and maximum use range of 150 percent.
  • Heat flux meter response time less than 200 ms, emissivity greater than 0.95, and output signal greater than 5 mV within the operating range.
  • Heat flux display instrument provides immediate heat flux readings.
  • Used to determine TPP of protective materials and display time-temperature curves.
  • Two Kofloc flow meters adjust combustion gas flow with accuracy of +/-2 percent and range 0-3 L/min.
  • Pointer pressure gauge with reducing valve, pressure regulating range 0-0.4 MPa.
  • Temperature acquisition system resolution 0.1 C and accuracy +/-0.75 C.
  • Automatic data acquisition system sampling rate at least 10 Hz with cold-junction compensation for thermocouple data.
  • Equipped with computer and printer, standard test software, standard test curves, TPP test software, and TPE evaluation software.
  • Customer needs to provide the air supply device.
