Instrument Overview

 

The TESTech radiant heat resistance tester is designed and manufactured according to ISO 6942 and EN 366. The equipment fully meets the standard test requirements and has been accepted by customers in Europe and North America.

 

The equipment uses a user-friendly and intuitive Windows-based application that provides complete thermal control, fault detection, and data logging functions. RPP system configuration and burn prediction calculations are also included in ThermDAC.

 

User-defined tests allow operators to define non-standard test conditions and custom tolerance criteria. Multiple graph displays can be viewed with zoom functions for specific details. Real-time statistical functions can be applied to test data for any user-selected time range.

 

The equipment is used to evaluate the thermal movement performance of heat-protective and flame-protective clothing under short-duration flame conditions. A specified heat flux of 80 kW/m2 +/- 5% is applied to the lower side of the specimen made from fabrics and other materials constituting the protective clothing. A calorimeter installed on the upper side of the specimen measures heat transmission rate over time, enabling evaluation of the material's thermal insulation performance.
