Product Overview
The heat release test system is designed fully in accordance with GB/T 31248-2014 and EN 50399:2011. It is developed by adding a heat release exhaust duct, air inlet piping, and fan system to the GB/T 18380.31 bunched cable combustion furnace.
The system is used to measure the combustion heat release performance of wires and cables during bunched cable fire testing.
Main Structures
- The air supply system is equipped with an additional rectangular ventilation duct, 300 +/- 10 mm wide, 80 +/- 5 mm high, and at least 800 mm long, together with an air box of 150 +/- 10 mm depth.
- A 2 mm thick stainless steel grille is fitted at the air inlet, with 5 mm openings and 8 mm pitch.
- An axial flow fan provides air supply, and the air volume is controlled by an inverter.
- The exhaust fan volume flow in the duct is also adjusted by an inverter.
- A bidirectional probe differential pressure device is used with an imported differential pressure sensor, range 0 to 500 Pa.
- Stainless steel smoke hood and exhaust duct with 400 mm internal diameter, corrosion resistant and visually clean.
- Air intake volume is 8000 L/min.
- The exhaust system includes smoke hood, exhaust duct, guide vanes, fan, gas sampling system, and analysis system, all designed in full accordance with the standard.
Gas Sampling System
- Includes annular sampler, suction pump, particle filter, cold trap, exhaust valve, moisture filter, and CO2 filter.
- Three-stage filtration system with filtration accuracy of 0.5 um.
- Refrigerated cold trap with compressor cooling system, controlled at 0 to 5 C.
- Suction pump flow rate 33 L/min, vacuum degree 700 mmHg, pressure 2.5 bar.
- Drying tube for filtering moisture and impurities.
- Flow controller for suction flow control.
- Sampler with 12 holes arranged opposite the airflow direction, equipped with soot filter, located 685 mm from the smoke hood.
Measuring System
- Imported paramagnetic oxygen analyzer with O2 range 0 to 25%, linear deviation less than 0.5% of full scale, repeatability better than 50 ppm O2, and analyzer response time T90 less than 3.5 s.
- Imported infrared CO2 analyzer with CO2 range 0 to 10%, linear deviation less than or equal to 1% of full scale, repeatability less than or equal to 0.5% of full scale, and response time T90 less than 2.5 s.
- Smoke density analysis by incandescent light system with color temperature 2900 +/- 100 K, current fluctuation +/- 1.5%, linear smoke density output, time compensation, and imported photocell module.
- One-touch 5-level transmittance calibration system with imported optical filters, without manual filter replacement.
- Additional smoke density analysis uses incandescent light source with color temperature 2900 +/- 100 K and current fluctuation +/- 0.5%.
- The optical lens forms a 20 mm parallel beam with d/f less than 0.04.
- Imported Japanese photodetector with spectral response matching CIE, chromaticity standard function accuracy +/- 5%, output linearity within 3% of transmittance or 1% of absolute transmittance.
- System 90% response time does not exceed 3 s.
- Imported Omega thermocouples: three 0.5 mm diameter K-type sheathed thermocouples, temperature accuracy 0.5 C.
- Imported pressure sensor range 0 to 100 Pa, connected to a pressure sensor with accuracy +/- 2 Pa, and 90% response time not more than 1 s.
- Exhaust capacity 0 to 0.65 m3/s.
- Additional general-purpose 2 mm K-type sheathed thermocouples.
- Ambient pressure accuracy +/- 200 Pa.
- Minimum system recording interval 3 s.
- System time recording accuracy 0.1 s.
Computer Control System
- Standard control cabinet with computer and Labview intelligent control system.
- Control parameter setting and display, test status and fault display, and query functions.
- Automatic acquisition and storage of all data, screen monitoring, real-time temperature curve, and real-time CO2/O2 data curves, with historical curve and data query.

- The machine can be operated independently to complete tests.

- USB and RS232 ports on the control cabinet for external desktop or laptop operation.

- Automatic measurement and calculation of heat release rate, smoke production rate, oxygen consumption, and CO2 generation.
Software Test System
- Labview-based application software with friendly control interface, easy operation, and strong data interaction capability for scientific research analysis.
- Data acquisition frequency is configurable at 1 s, with a minimum of 0.1 s.
- Can display instrument status, calibrate instruments and store calibration results, collect test data, and calculate required parameters.
- All test and calculated data curves, including temperature, humidity, flow, pressure, transmittance, O2/CO2 concentration, mass, and heat flux, can be freely selected for main interface display and independently enlarged or reduced in separate windows.
- Test report supports switching between full-size graphics and thumbnail views for analysis.
- O2 and CO2 delay values can be independently revised online for deeper comparison and analysis of test results.
- Modular design for system control and calibration, with strong functionality and simple operation.
- Real-time digital and graphical monitoring display for temperature, humidity, flow, pressure, transmittance, and O2/CO2 concentration.
- Real-time calculation, analysis, and display of process parameters, including heat release rate, smoke production rate, oxygen consumption, CO2 generation, mass loss, radiant heat, wind speed, and total heat release.
- One-touch 5-level optical calibration at 0%, 25%, 50%, 79%, and 100%, with automatic calibration report generation.
