Product Introduction
The TESTECH thermal radiation flame propagation tester is used to evaluate rigid and flexible materials with thickness greater than 5 mm. It is developed according to the French construction material and railway vehicle flame-retardant test standard NF P 92-501.
The test principle is to expose the specimen to thermal radiation of 30 kW/m2, which may cause the specimen to release combustible gases and then ignite these volatile gases. Flame spread behavior is observed, and combustion data are collected to estimate released heat.

- Continuous pilot flame arrangement for convenient ignition of the upper and lower burners before testing.
- Quarter-turn plug device for convenient shut-off of burner and ignition gas supply.
- Thermocouples at the top and air inlet monitor temperature and display temperature difference in real time.
- Standard test software automatically calculates flame index and combustion heat index.
- Built-in report function with data output and printing capability, supported by a user-friendly interface.
- Test data include flame index I, average flame height index S, longest flame index H, and combustion heat index C.
