Product Introduction

 

With the rapid development of high-speed railways in China, the requirements for testing the combustion performance of materials and components used in railway rolling stock have become increasingly strict. At present, combustion testing for locomotive and vehicle materials mainly refers to the German standard DIN 54837.

 

This TESTECH locomotive material combustion tester is designed and manufactured according to DIN 54837 and uses a combustion chamber designed with reference to DIN 50050-2. It is used to determine the combustion characteristics of railway locomotive materials and fittings under the action of a wide-slot sleeve gas burner.

 

The equipment can determine specimen burn-out time, maximum flame height and occurrence time, afterflame and afterglow time, dripping combustion time, smoke diffusion curve and maximum value, and specimen damage length.

 

With reference to DIN 5510-2, it can also be used for flammability classification (S2 to S5), smoke characteristic classification (SR1 not achieved, SR1, SR2), and dripping characteristic classification (ST1, ST2).
