A drying oven is a chamber-style device used for drying, baking, and processing various materials; it is also commonly referred to as a baking oven or drying cabinet. These devices are primarily categorized into two major types: electric blast drying ovens and vacuum drying ovens. Electric blast drying ovens generate heat via electric heating elements and utilize a fan to circulate hot air within the chamber to facilitate drying. Vacuum drying ovens, conversely, employ a vacuum pump to reduce the internal pressure of the chamber, thereby allowing moisture to evaporate at lower temperatures; this makes them particularly suitable for drying heat-sensitive or easily oxidizable substances. These devices are widely utilized across various sectors, including the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, electronics, and scientific research industries.

 

A drying oven typically consists of three main components: the chamber body, the electric heating system, and the temperature control system. In recent years, most models have also incorporated digital temperature displays and programmable controllers. The chamber body typically features a triple-layer structure, with the intermediate space filled with thermal insulation material. Safety precautions must be strictly observed during operation: the introduction of flammable or explosive materials into the oven is strictly prohibited, and it is essential to ensure that the equipment is properly grounded.
