Product Overview

 

This product is designed and developed according to the requirements of ISO 10497 and JB/T 6899.

It uses a burner to simulate a fire scenario and performs fire resistance testing of valves for marine and similar applications under internal pressure and load conditions.

Main Structure

 

  • Combustion chamber dimensions: 2,500 (W) x 1,500 (D) x 3,000 (H) mm; made of stainless steel plate with internal stainless steel support frame.
  • Large viewing window provided for observing internal test conditions.
  • All internal tooling is made of stainless steel.
  • There are six burners in total, each with a cross-sectional area of at least 80 mm x 350 mm. The number of burners can be selected according to the size of the specimen, with at least 20 fan-leaf type nozzle burners per square decimeter.
  • Burner lifting device provided to adjust the burner-to-specimen distance.
  • Exhaust pipe size: phi400 x 1,000 (L) mm, equipped with diffuser at the top.
  • Each burner unit is equipped with a venturi mixer to make gas and air fully mixed and ensure flame temperature.
  • The temperature measuring block is made of 38 mm cubic carbon steel with embedded armored thermocouple.
  • Stainless steel exhaust piping and related accessories.
  • Imported double flowmeters for air flow and gas flow, with control valves.
  • Imported brand pressure gauge and pressure regulating valve.
  • The bottom of the combustion chamber is equipped with a burning residue drip tray and drainage filtration system.
  • Drainage system and throttle valve are made of stainless steel.
  • The exhaust fan is stepless variable-speed type, guiding airflow to produce directional flame.
  • Burner position can be moved to suit different types of valve testing.
  • Water level gauge and graduated cylinder are provided to facilitate observation of valve leakage during testing.
  • High-pressure piping and valve body module are provided to meet high-pressure testing and safety requirements.

 

 

Testing System

 

  • A booster pump is used to pressurize the test valve, with a maximum value of 31.9 MPa.
  • The relief valve is set to 1.5 times the working pressure at 20 degrees C to prevent rupture of the tested valve body due to vaporization pressure increase.
  • Imported armored thermocouple monitors the fire-zone temperature, which reaches 760 degrees C within 2 minutes.
  • The average thermocouple temperature in the measuring block reaches 650 degrees C within 15 minutes.
  • DPT can accurately test system pressure with test accuracy of +/- 0.01 MPa.
  • Timing range: 0 to 9999 +/- 0.1 seconds.
  • Test duration can be set, with default 30 minutes.
  • After the test, the water levels in the measuring vessel and water receiving tray are checked to calculate valve leakage.

Control System

 

  • Computer control system with LabVIEW dedicated test software.
  • The test realizes intelligent control with automatic ignition, automatic flame adjustment, and automatic saving of test reports for free retrieval and printing.
  • Laboratory development tools are used to provide operators with a simple graphical user interface environment.
  • Automated control logic records and stores test data in real time, making repeatability comparison convenient.
  • Data analysis and test report formats are provided to meet customer requirements.
  • Replaceable burners are included to satisfy the test methods of three kinds of fire-fighting parts.
  • Imported flow controller can automatically control gas and air, with flow test range from 0 to 100 L/min.

 

Optional Configuration

 

  • Optional water temperature control system, including heating equipment, to ensure water temperature is controlled at 80 degrees C +/- 2 degrees C during the test.
