Product Overview

 

Under internal pressure conditions, various pipe accessories are exposed to a burner that simulates a fire scenario for fire resistance testing of marine and similar pipes and pipe joints under load conditions.

 

The apparatus can test hose assemblies and plastic containers of several nominal diameters for each test, and it can measure watertight performance in each test.

 

This product complies with the fire resistance test requirements for piping accessories under ISO 19921 and ISO 19922, and with GB/T 22218-2008 and GB/T 22219-2008.

Main Structure

 

  • Combustion chamber dimensions: 2,500 (W) x 1,500 (D) x 3,000 (H) mm; made of stainless steel plate with internal stainless steel support frame.
  • Large viewing window provided for observing internal test conditions.
  • All internal tooling is made of stainless steel.
  • There are six burners in total, each with a cross-sectional area of at least 80 mm x 350 mm. The number of burners can be selected according to the size of the specimen, with at least 20 fan-leaf type nozzle burners per square decimeter.
  • Burner lifting device provided to adjust the burner-to-specimen distance.
  • Exhaust pipe size: phi400 x 1,000 (L) mm, equipped with diffuser at the top.
  • Each burner unit is equipped with a venturi mixer to make gas and air fully mixed and ensure flame temperature.
  • Temperature control range: 0 to (120 +/- 2) degrees C.
  • Stainless steel exhaust piping and related accessories.
  • Imported double flowmeters for air flow and gas flow, with control valves.
  • Imported brand pressure gauge and pressure regulating valve.
  • The bottom of the combustion chamber is equipped with a burning residue drip tray and drainage filtration system.
  • Drainage system and throttle valve are made of stainless steel.
  • The exhaust fan is stepless variable-speed type, guiding airflow to produce directional flame.
  • Burner position can be moved to suit different types of hose joints and valve testing.
  • This standard configuration is supplied with test pipe diameter of 1 inch. Other pipe sizes require additional customization.
  • This standard proposal is suitable for DN50 piping accessories and includes two 2-inch standard specimen flange fixtures. The customer needs to provide the actual sample size parameters.
  • If specimen flange fixtures of other specifications are required, they need to be additionally customized based on customer-provided specimen size parameters.

 

 

Testing System

 

  • Water temperature control range: 0 to (120 +/- 2) degrees C.
  • Imported armored thermocouple; flame temperature at 15 mm to 20 mm below the lower end of the specimen is (800 +/- 50) degrees C.
  • Working water pressure: 0.01 to 1 MPa; maximum test pressure 1.0 MPa; pressure gauge accuracy +/- 1%.
  • When flow velocity is controlled at 0.1 m/s, the flow rate is greater than Q L/min; flow meter accuracy +/- 1%.
  • DPT can accurately test hose pressure with test accuracy of +/- 0.01 MPa.
  • Timing range: 0 to 9999 +/- 0.1 seconds.
  • Water pump power: 1.5 KW, capable of providing a maximum water pressure of 10 kgf/cm2.
  • Flame temperature range: (800 +/- 50) degrees C.
  • Accuracy of electronic test instruments conforms to IEC 60051-1.

Control System

 

  • Computer control system with LabVIEW dedicated test software.
  • The test realizes intelligent control with automatic ignition, automatic flame adjustment, and automatic saving of test reports for free retrieval and printing.
  • Laboratory development tools are used to provide operators with a simple graphical user interface environment.
  • Automated control logic records and stores test data in real time, making repeatability comparison convenient.
  • Data analysis and test report formats are provided to meet customer requirements.
  • Replaceable burners are included to satisfy the test methods of three kinds of fire-fighting parts.
  • Imported flow controller can automatically control gas and air, with flow test range from 0 to 100 L/min.
  • Electronic flowmeter can test hose and valve flow.

 

Optional Configuration 1

 

  • For fire resistance testing of piping accessories under ISO 19921 & 19922 and GB/T 22218-2008 & GB/T 22219-2008.
  • Optional water temperature control system, including heating equipment and control system, to ensure water temperature is controlled at 80 degrees C +/- 2 degrees C during the test.
  • Heating power: 15 KW.

 

Optional Configuration 2

 

  • For fire resistance testing of piping accessories under ISO 19921 & 19922 and GB/T 22218-2008 & GB/T 22219-2008.
  • Optional leakage test system, including pressurizing equipment and leakage testing device, used to test leakage after the fire exposure is completed.

 

Optional Configuration 3

 

  • Configured for IMO A.753(18) and IMO MSC.313(88), Guidelines for Plastic Pipes on Ships.
  • Standard burner provided to deliver standard heat release power.
  • Water temperature control system provided to maintain the pre-test initial temperature at not less than 15 degrees C.
  • Pressurizing system provided, including pressure source, high-pressure piping, and pressure test system, to apply standard pressure after fire exposure and test leakage of the sample.
  • Pressure test system is equipped with imported pressure sensor, range 50 MPa, accuracy 0.5%.
  • Leakage test system provided to test leakage of the valve.
  • Changing the test method requires manual replacement of the burner.
  • This proposal is supplied with one burner set as standard; additional sets require separate configuration.
  • This proposal is supplied with test pipe diameter of 1 inch as standard. Other pipe sizes require additional customization.
  • This proposal is suitable for DN150 plastic pipe, with two DN150 plastic pipe specimen fixtures supplied as standard. The customer needs to provide the actual sample size parameters.
  • If specimen fixtures of other specifications are required, they need to be additionally customized based on customer-provided specimen size parameters.
